The Vishhnusahasranama is a list of 1000 names (sahasranama) of Lord Vishnu. Once Pitamah Bheeshma revealed it to Yudhisthira that one who adores the Lotus-Eyed One ( Kamala Nayana), who is birthless, who is the master of all the the worlds and out of whom the worlds have originated and into whom they dissolve, never gets defeated.

One of the most important benefits of reciting Vishnu Sahasranama(Vishnu Puja at home) is that all evil thoughts that keep crossing your mind will completely be wiped out and there is no other benefit that can be more important than that. Only when the mind is free from all evil thoughts, pure happiness and absolute bliss can be attained. Good memory, firmness of mind, freedom from anger, jealousy and the greed, happiness of the self are some of the benefits that accrue.

The diseased is freed from disease and the frightened from fear. The afflicted are freed from their afflictions, and he that is plunged in calamity becomes freed from calamity. Those who recites Vishhnu Sahasranama succeeds in attaining a position of eminence among his kinsmen, acquiring great fame, enduring prosperity and eventually Moksha (salvation).

As described in the Varahi Tantra, most stotras are cursed by Parashuram so can not yield positive results. It is said that the Vishnu  Sahasranamam of Mahabharata, Chandika Saptashati (Devi Mahatmyam), Gita of Bhisma Parva are free from all Doshas and grant fruits immediately in Kali Yuga.
