Rudra is another name of Lord Shiva. Rudrabhishek refers to a worship when Shiving is bathed with holy water. It is deemed one of the holiest as well as powerful worship in Hinduism and is believed to remove the sins of many births and bless the devotees with prosperity and peace . It is also believed that Lord Shiva can be easily pleased and is a highly benevolent God. Rudrabhishek is performed on Shivratris.
