Health benefits of Akarkara (Anacyclus Pyrethrum)

Akarkara is an Indian plant rich in medicinal properties that is used in Ayurvedic, Unani and other herb-based medical practices to treat menstrual diseases, colds, toothache and pyorrhea. Its scientific name is Anacyclus Pyrethrum.

1. Akarkara is useful in increasing libido

Akarkara (Anacyclus pyrethrum) has libido enhancer and sperm enhancer properties. It affects the secretion of androgens as well as helps in making more androgens. There is a lot of alkyl-amide (it is an alkaline element) in the root of Akarkara which helps in increasing the amount of testosterone. Akarkara increases fertility, sperm volume and libido in men.

2. Akarkara Benefits – Removal of impurities

Akarkara is a good remedy for treating impotence and erectile dysfunction. It has similar properties to sildenafil (a drug used to treat erectile dysfunction), but it does not increase blood pressure. Akarkara has fewer side effects than sildenafil.

If only Akarkara is used for treatment, then after few weeks its effect starts to decrease. Therefore, to get more benefits, it should be used along with ashwagandha and powder of kauncha seeds.

3. Akarkara Benefits – Treat sore throat with Akarkara

Gargling with water of Akarkara cures sore throat. To prepare garbage water, boil the root of 10 grams Akarkara in 250 ml of water. Gargling with this water can also relieve the problem of pharyngitis (sore throat and swelling). It is also beneficial for toothache and gum problems.

4. Akarkara Benefits – Akarkara is beneficial for teeth

Its use can also prove beneficial for teeth. Massaging the teeth together with camphor root powder with camphor is useful to relieve toothache. It can also be used by mixing black pepper, Khorasani celery (Hyoscymus niger) and Embelia Ribes to relieve toothache.

5. Get rid of pyorrhea

This herb is also useful in treating pyorrhea. Pyrrhea is cured by applying the powder of Akarkara root with mustard oil and applying it on the gums.

6. Akarkara is a cold and cold weather

Taking cold powder of pomegranate root with black pepper and Pippali in cold and cold provides relief. Akarkara has antiviral properties, so it helps in reducing the symptoms of flu as well as opening the closed nose.

7. Helpful in Speech disorder

To remove speech disorder in children, take 125 grams root of Akarkara and mix it with honey and apply it on the tongue. If the child has more difficulty in speaking or to make the remedy more effective, 125 mg Vach (Acorus Calamus) can also be added to this mixture.

8. Akarkara is useful in epilepsy

In Ayurveda, the root of Akarkara is used to control epilepsy and seizures. According to some studies, its root extracts have protective properties, so it can help prevent the problem of seizures.
