Ganesh Chaturthi is a pious festival that brings people of all faiths and religion under one roof. Ganesh Chaturthi(ganesh puja) is celebrated on the fourth day of the month of Bhadrapad which usually falls between August and September. It is believed that Lord Ganesh descends on earth on this auspicious day to shower his blessings on the devotees. Devotees believe that anybody who approaches the benevolent God with clean heart receives his blessings. He is known to remove all obstacles, giver of fortune ‘Sukh-Karta’ as well as helps to stave off natural calamities.

• Chandan or sandalwood paste
• Durva grass
• Incense sticks
• A Chaurang or elevated table to place the idol
